Our School
Silverton Elementary is a neighborhood elementary school. As a Digital Leadership Academy, students in grades K–6 will become responsible digital leaders and develop both the technology skills and leadership skills that will help them be successful in high school and beyond. In addition to having access to enhanced technological instruction and resources, the adoption of Stephen Covey's: The Leader in Me program, provides an opportunity for Silverton students to master guiding principles for lifelong decision-making to become responsible, caring, compassionate and productive individuals.
Mission
Silverton values the strengths of each individual student. We academically prepare successful leaders who will become contributing citizens and soar like eagles.
Vision
Silverton creates a community of empowered students prepared to learn and lead.
Student Pledge
We choose to:
L — love learning
E — engage everyone in the process
A — achieve goals together
D — do the right thing
We Succeed! No Excuses! No Exceptions!
Community Learning Centers
For our schools to transform, our communities must be revitalized. For our communities to revitalize, our schools must be transformed. They are dependent on each other and Community Learning Centers are the link.
What is a Community Learning Center (CLC)?
Schools and the communities they serve are closely linked. Seldom does one succeed without the success of the other. That's why our CLCs support student achievement, enrich and revitalize communities, and maximize the community's return on their financial investment.
We are very proud to be a CLC and a neighborhood anchor. We strive to go beyond academics to focus on the whole child by serving as a hub for community services that are available to all students, their families and the entire community. We are able to offer a variety of services thanks to the collaboration and support of our many partners and the committed community of Silverton.
The following CLC services are available at our school:
- School Psychologist
- Speech and Language Pathologist
- School Social Worker
- Intervention Specialist
- In-School Mercy Health Center
- Mental Health Services
Our Resource Coordinator
A new Resource Coordinator will be joining our school soon.
The key component of a CLC is the partners who provide services and support. To manage and align these valuable partnerships, our full-time, on-site Resource Coordinator plays an integral role in the success of the Community Learning Center.
