Partners
We are very proud to be a Community Learning Center that provides services to engage, educate and support our students, their families and our community. We have partners on site that provide health and enrichment services. We also have countless other partners, including community volunteers and an active PTO, that focus on the whole student throughout their journey with us.
To learn more about how your company or organization can become a Community Learning Center partner or volunteer, please contact Linda Johnson-Towles at (513) 363-5400 or via email.
Activities Beyond the Classroom
Silverton partners consist of both community and human service organizations, cultural and museum institutions. Activities Beyond the Classroom (ABC Foundation) currently serves as Silverton’s lead agency providing support through an on-site Community Resource Coordinator staff position.
Adopt A Class
Adopt A Class connects businesses and civic groups, as mentors, with students in schools with high percentages of poverty. Each month, adopters visit our school to conduct monthly mentoring with educational activities, field trips, and pen palling that focus particularly on college & career, STEM, and life skills. Adopt A Class serves students Pre-K through 8th grade, exposing students to a breadth of experiences and careers, while sparking a culture of teamwork among the mentors. The Children's Home
The largest partner for Silverton is The Children's Home (TCH) of Cincinnati, which offers a wide range of enrichment activities and programs in order to improve academic achievement and reduce risk-taking behaviors through Silverton AfterSchool.
The on-school site coordinator is Ms. Beth Wiseman. Contact her at (513) 272-2800, ext. 3622. TCH also collaborates and partners with Mindpeace in support of the provision of mental health services for Silverton students.
